What is JeeMon
--------------
JeeMon is a switchboard-type application for physical computing devices.

It provides an infrastructure to collect, store, process, and visualize
incoming data in real time, and to control all sorts of connected hardware.
JeeMon can interface to software services, both locally and remotely.

JeeMon runs in desktop mode with a GUI on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux,
or in background mode on a wide range of embedded Linux platforms.

License
-------
JeeMon is 100% open source software, using the BSD and the MIT licenses.

Getting started
---------------
Details on how to download and start using JeeMon can be found on the
    [JeeMon homepage](http://news.jeelabs.org/docs/jeemon.html).
For the impatient: 1) get the proper zip file, 2) unpack it, 3) launch it.

Background
----------
JeeMon stands on the shoulders of several open source software giants.
The rest is now being developed and maintained by Jean-Claude Wippler.
